Sea World San Diego - April 3, 2011

We went to Sea World for the day and were there before park opening. Ran to first ride, Journey to Atlantis, got soaked, then went back to hotel room to change. We had no idea you got that wet. We returned to the park in yoga pants and sweatshirts and had a great rest of the day there. We did shows, touched a dolphin, picked up starfish, etc.

We did do Journey to Atlantis another five times... but at the end of the day and in the third row (the least wet place)

Front row seats to see the training of the baby dolphins
I think this fish would have seriously considered eating Lex if possible. He looks grumpy
Tide pool where you can pick up the starfish. I didn't touch any (gross) but Lex liked 'em
Shamu
Shamu show
I kinda want his life

Spring Break 2011 - La Jolla, California

We loved La Jolla. So beautiful. We went and played on the beach Saturday evening and then had dinner together. What a special time for Lex and I.

Lexi was terrified of the waves that were coming up. You can't see the waves being big but at the time I was scared for her too... such a candid of her. She had so much fun testing the waves
There were tons of them and they were all talking

Biztown

The school participates in this super cool field trip called Biztown. It's this minature city with a variety of stores including a restaurant, Chase bank, Best Buy, Ikea, UPS, etc. Lex worked for Chase as a teller (see picture below). She loved it. Everyone was assigned a job and they had two breaks. During the breaks they could purchase from other vendors but before they could do so, they had to deposit their paycheck with Chase. Hence, Lexi got to see everyone which she loved. The kids absolutely loved this field trip. I was one of the volunteers at the event and it was a madhouse. We had to keep the CEO, CFO, and other workworkers busy during the day and boy was I tired after.
Lex and her awesome wonderful teacher at Chase.
This is the first moment the kids entered the building. They were so excited. Lex was the first kid in the building and she was accompanied by some of her closest friends. This picture really shows how excited these kids were about this event.

This and That

Lex just being cute (at least her mama thinks so)
These girls have played basketball together since kindergarten. We have become friends with the family's and we had a bowling party one night. This is the girlies and below is the mama's.

Salmon Days 2010. Lex is about to go on an obstacle course... one of her favorite things (along with rock climbing and swimming)

Victoria BC

Since we really hadn't used our passports and since we live very close to the Canadian border, I thought I'd take Lex to an overnight trip to Victoria in November. We took a ferry over and stayed the night without a car. We did a cool obstacle course (see below), went to a play (Wizard of Oz) and then went to Buchart Gardens on day two. It was a lot of fun, although I do not advise going to Butchart Gardens in November. It was cold and all the flowers will covered in Snow. I'm unsure why the place is open during that time. Anyway, all in all, good fun, adventurous and cold trip but glad we went.

1st Day of 4th Grade

My beautiful daughter starting her first day of 4th grade... it was raining (of course, it is Seattle)...

Summer summer summertime (2010)

I went to a Seahawks game with Tony and during the game received a call from my brother saying that he too was at the game. Coincidentally, they were one section over and within 1 row of us... I also learned that I was going to be an aunt again so it was a super good game (unsure of the game score though...)
Tony took us out on his boat....
Now this seems fun....
On second thought.... it's really not that fun...
Lex was not pleased when I put my thumb down and requested to be removed from the watercraft device... When did I get so old? I'm sure at one time this would have been fun.
