How to Make Ice Cream

Alexis had to learn how to do something she's never done so we bought an ice cream maker and she learned how to make home-made ice cream from scratch. She can make the whole recipe herself and in 20 minutes you can "eat your delicious home-made ice cream" (that was her last words in her presentation). 

Mother's Day 2009

Alexis and I went for a walk to coffee, lunch, and some playgrounds for mother's day. It was beautiful day outside and spending it with my beautiful daughter is always fun.

Lex Turns 8

Alexis Turned 8 years old yesterday... We didn't have a party but her dad did come up for the weekend while I went to Vegas. Yesterday I picked her up from School and then brought her home to our own party... I decorated the house (very randomly... pink streamers are never classy but she liked it). I made her favorite foods for dinner (bacon, milkshake, mac n cheese, and cantaloupe... did I mention this was her favorite foods) and then we had ice cream cupcakes for dessert. She got a Wii (money from Christmas helped contribute to the gift).. All in all, she was pretty happy with her 8th birthday and I'm pretty happy to have such a great kid... if only I could get her to stop growing up so fast... 

Vegas - May 2009

C and I went to on a three day trip to Vegas this past weekend. We stayed right off the strip and did a lot of shopping. C always got up before me and went and worked out and then I'd make it out of bed a bit later and head to Starbucks. We went to a few clubs (Preve & Rain). We also were invited to a different club (everyone is invited everywhere so it wasn't a major feat). We went to it but we couldn't decide if we were invited to bring down the average age of the club or because we were the average age for the club... There were quite a few older people there. Anyway, it was a fun trip but we were delirious at the airport on Sunday. Sleep probably would have solved this but seriously, who sleeps in Vegas anyway?

Alexis is in her third year of baseball (t-ball, baseball, and now softball). She's doing great... Lex and I usually hang out on weekends. The other pictures were from a night out to the new HM movie.. which was really good. We both had fun! I kinda want to go see it again... I mean Alexis does...

After almost a year and a half, Lex finally got her braces off... followed by her hair cut off... She wanted her hair short and she loves it...
